Many people did so in the past, but dont we have a strong tendency to use the original spellings ? The autograph versions ? Well, the name is German, but as "Umlaut" makes no sense in many languages, thee is the compromise to use the "ae", "oe" & the ue" instead.

To Richard Burdicks question: As a bravura aria, the aria from giulio Cesare is unique, as Haendel used the horns in pairs or double pair for the symphonies in his many operas or the orchestra concerts or choirs & other arias. These parts are most exposed & demanding due to the high tessitura.
