Hi,
Just a note to announce that I will be giving a free master class and
recital in Longview Washington on Sunday, November 16, 2008. The
master class will be from 1-3 PM and the recital at 4PM. Admission is
free to both events. I will be sharing the recital with my good
friend and colleague, Warren Bartold, a stalwart of the old San Jose
Symphony trumpet section and now with me in Symphony Silicon Valley.
He will be demonstrating his piccolo trumpet skills on the recital.
The master class is all me. He has also helped set up and fund this
event so we could present it without cost. So, thank you Warren.
The events will take place at the Trinity Lutheran Church in
Longview. The address is 2021 Washington Way, Longview WA 98632 for
all you MapQuesters.
I will also be in the Longview area for a couple of days prior to the
events for anyone interest in a private consultation. Email me for
more info on that. Otherwise, all the info for our recital and
masterclass is in this post. No tickets needed. Just come and carpool
with your horn playing (or trumpet) friends. Maybe we will go out for
pizza or something afterwards.
Thought for the "New Year."
Question: What is the single most important concept that will advance
your playing and maximize your practicing efficiency? Or, what is the
quickest path to becoming a great player?
Cheers.
Sincerely,
Wendell Rider
