The sentence should read: the Missa was written after 1796,
horns (or crooks) in Bb-basso (I
owned just one from mid 19th cen. - a gigant of a crook
4-times coiled)were NOT known before Don Giovanni, but were
availably after 1796, time of the Missa. Most they used
couplers. But Haydns music would be "verhuntzt" using this
HEAVY equipment with the very very dull sound, much too
heavy for Papa Josephus or Pepi-Papa.

Carl, you miscalculated, 1796 is 18th not 19th century !!
HaHa ! Youth Fountain ? Hard Work, keep the brain working
all times. Few animal protein, just a bit of wine, good
habits, if smoking, quit instantly WITHOUT pills or
whatever, etc.

Thermal therapy when at my age, helps like charging the
battery of live. Always new tasks.

Greetings, from a long absence on this list.
