I have played the first hotrn part in the Dvorak "Cello Concerto" many
times. Horns 1 and 2 are in E (with portions of the second movement in D and
in F), and the third horn is in D in the first movement, in D and C in the
second movement and in E and D in the third movement. The long horn solo
beginning at measure 56 in the first movement needs to be in the style that
the cellist will play it. By the way all three horn parts are very prominent
throughout this concerto. and the third horn has several very prominant horn
solos. Regards.
