This is incorrect. When Gebr. Alexander manufactured horns specifically for the US market they were labeled made in W. Germany. I have two horns from the period in question, the newer one about 1978. This was true for the Giardinelli stencils as well I am sure for the Yancich Helden horns. Pictures may be seen at my website if doubt remains. Giardinelli ceased importing Alex horns sometime in the early or mid 1980's. I can query Richard Bentson at Wichita Band about the horns he imported if anyone really cares about completeness.
