For those of you in the Detroit area, there's a horn and organ recital
tomorrow, August 23rd, at the church of St. Peter and Paul in Detroit,
at 4pm. Hope to see some of you there.

2nd Horn - State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra

The concert series of Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church,
Detroit, MI, will present a concert of horn and organ music, Sunday,
the 23rd of August, at 4pm. The program, performed by Organist Johnny
Kash, and Hornist Sarah Hogan will feature music of Bach, Mozart,
Rossini, Saint-Saens, Verne Reynolds, Daniel Pinkham, and Randall
Faust, among others. Admission is Free.
Since 2004, hornist Sarah Hogan has performed as 2nd hornist with the
State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra, presenting numerous concerts in
cities across Mexico, as well as France, Spain, China, Egypt, and the
United States, in addition to performances in the Cervantino
International Arts Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico, and the Mineria
Festival in Mexico City. Ms. Hogan is a graduate of the University of
Northern Colorado and the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins
University, and her teachers include Jack Herrick, Marian Hesse, Peter
Landgren, and Gregory Hustis.
