Seems like I am becoming the go to guy for mapping parties here at UCL!

I will be running a mapping party day for the MSc students at the Bartlett's
Development Planning Unit http://www.bartlett.ucl.ac.uk/dpu next Friday (2nd
of March) AM & PM.

Anyone from the OSM community who wants to participate and get the chance to
introduce OSM to around 34 students would be more than welcome.

Andy - Again, a good opportunity to observe a batch of novice users of
Potlatch2 !

Here is a draft programme:

*         10 - 11-30 - Muki Introduction to OSM Lecture

*         11-30 - 12-00 - Patrick Introduction to Mapping Party, theme and
attributes to focus on:

*         12-00 - 14-30 - Lunchbreak/Mapping Party:

o Focus will be on accessibility for reduced mobility users, 6 groups, each
group getting one area around UCL to map by walking around with paper map
provided by myself. They can use their smartphones (with OSM Apps) to collect
data as well if they so wish.

*         14-30 - 17:00: Classroom session:

o Groups will feed into OSM data they collected using OSM browser editing
interface (Potlatch2 , needs flash installed on browser). A secondary task will
then be to get data back from OSM into QGIS, so they can create a map.

Cheers
Patrick
