As mentioned in last night's HOT chat, Senegal, specifically some areas in Dakar, the capital, is experiencing some flooding following a period of intense rains. Coincidentally, one of the HOT members, Nico Chavent, was already on the ground in Dakar for a scheduled trip [http://hot.openstreetmap.org/updates/2012-08-28_the_osm_project_senegal_joining_tech_camp_dakar_30_31_august_2012] is meeting with local actors, and coordinating with the emerging OSM-SN community In reponse, we've created a task to map some neighborhoods most affected by the flooding. Mapping parties are occurring in the area and this task will help facilitate the mapping parties/workshops.
