Hello to all, The GeoBucket team has uploaded a new version of the android GeoBucket mobile application to the Google Play store at https://play.google.com/store/search?q=geobucket&c=apps; an added feature is you can adjust the accuracy in meters of the coordinates saved by the app using a slider. Any coordinates with accuracy that do not fit within the set range are ignored and not saved by the app. After testing, we have found that GPS accuracies of between 5 and 20 meters are sufficient to provide precise GPS traces and points on the GeoBucket website ( www.geobucket.org).
The app also uploads additional Well Known Text (.wkt) formated strings which include Multilines and Multipoints; this ensures that more coordinates can be bunched together in a single upload and has also shortened upload times especially where large numbers of coordinate entries have been saved in the "Bucket". Kindly let us know how your experience goes with the application and how we can improve. Thanks, David
