Thus it would be a great help if people (most likely helpers on-site) could provide photographs from the places to map - if possible with geotags on them.ยน They could be transmitted either using flickr (or similar services) or any other ways available (ftp, in an archive at an one-click-hoster...)
OpenStreetView (http://openstreetview.org/) could also be the right place to provide such pictures.
Myself, I have about 7000 ground geotagged pictures took in Madagascar just for OSM. But, up to now, I didn't have the strength to upload them.
