Dear everyone, I stumbled into the USG Hazards Data Distribution System (HDDS) portal.
https://hdds.usgs.gov/hdds2/ The portal provides various imagery to support disaster responders (pre and post disaster imagery). Currently there are two modes of access: - public access - mostly Landsat, ALI and Aster imagery - restricted access - higher resolution imagery such as geoeye, worldview, aerials and other ad-hoc data Access to restricted imagery is provided on a "case to case" basis. For the data to be actually of use to OSM tracing, the restricted imagery is more useful. Might be a good for HOT to negotiate imagery access even on a limited time similar to what UNOSAT provided during Typhoon Pablo/Bopha. -- cheers, maning ------------------------------------------------------ "Freedom is still the most radical idea of all" -N.Branden wiki: http://esambale.wikispaces.com/ blog: http://epsg4253.wordpress.com/ ------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ HOT mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
