Maybe a task for roads in this general area: http://osm.org/go/5MeeCY - there seems to be some good work going, but lots of fixmes that will probably need locals to identify names and such; however we could probably tackle some geometries, etc. remotely (imagery dependent).

I've put those links on our wiki page http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/2013_Lushan_earthquake ...but haven't had time to try them myself. Anyone want to add a quick assessment of where there's interesting mapping to do? _____ From: Jean-Guilhem Cailton <[email protected]> To: HOT <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, 22 April 2013, 15:31 Subject: [HOT] Fwd: Re: [CrisisMappers] [Urgent] China quake: Scores die and hundreds hurt in Sichuan Hi, There is now a Spot 5, 2.5 m resolution, image of Ya'an and of a part of Lushan county available. URL for pansharpened image is given below. There is also a panchromatic layer (black and white), which combines this Spot 5 image with a lower resolution Spot 4 20110409 image that extends coverage to the North-East. Address for JOSM: tms[19]:http://osm.arkemie.org/cgi-bin/tiles/1.0.0/yaan_spot_pan/ <http://osm.arkemie.org/cgi-bin/tiles/1.0.0/yaan_spot5_pxs/> {zoom}/{x}/{y} Note that according to http://earthquake-report.com/2013/04/20/very-strong-earthquake-sichuan-china -on-april-20-2013/ Chinese emergency responders are handling this well. Hi Pete and Mikel: The first batch of satellite imagery covering Lushan Area has been compiled and released by Chinese Academy of Science. And there are several mapping platforms established with updating information on transportation and aftershocks: http://www.scgis.net/LSXEarthquake/# http://www.radi.cas.cn/dtxw/jryw/201304/t20130420_3823904.html http://www.arcgis.com/apps/OnePane/basicviewer/index.html?appid=03f3ef23b42f 4d51802bd85759250f61 I am cc.ing Xin Chen from ESRI China as well.
