Thanks for sharing that -- looks like it could be very useful! I'll be very interested to see how they suggest using crowdsourcing, to see if it is primarily based on "human intelligence task" processing (like Amazon's Mechanical Turk), or relies on trained volunteers (e.g. member organizations of the Digital Humanitarian Network). But more interesting may be the parts that journalists may encounter more regularly, and so have established techniques for detection, like plagiarism and manipulated images.
