Hi Andrew,

I did not have time to follow closely. I was voluntereed in my town for an
other activity.  Plus I have problems connecting to Skype after I had to
reinstall completely win8 this week and move to win8.1.

Looking tonight at .http://tasks.hotosm.org/job/339/task/1736/1083/11, I see
that High res imagery is missing for this east coast area.  I dont know if this
problem is for a large area.  If we have to move to Activation, you would have
to discuss with Kate to try to ask for Imagery.
see

Tell me if there are more asked from Red Cross and other humanitarian groups.

I will try to use my Statistic Script tomorrow to produce Contributors
statistics for the area.

Objet : [HOT] Typhoon Haiyan - Locating Villages and Connecting Roads

I just recieved a request from the American Red Cross to make a pass
over the wider area surrounding Tacloban to locate all small villages
and try to connect them to the road network if they are not already
done.  They are still in the early planning stages of their response
and do not have detailed information for us yet on exactly where their
efforts will be focused but they think that no matter what the exact
response ends up being, this data will likely be of use in
planning/executing that response.  I have created a task manager job
with big tiles over a pretty wide area around our current area of
interest.  Remember that this is just to locate the villages and trace
a landuse=residential around them and draw in the main connecting
roads, you do not need to trace all the details in the villages at
this time (although for small clusters of just a few houses I often
just do this right away anyway since it goes so fast, but this is up
to you).

Also, on a related issue, this response has reached a level of
activity that I think we should consider formal activation.  We now
have at least this one outstanding request from an aid organization
and I expect there will be others forthcoming.
