Hi Heather,
This should be very interesting to have the Crisis Mappers joining us for this
event. And as usual, a good way to communicate or obtain help relatively to
this Typhoon Haiyan activation is through the HOTt irc irc://irc.oftc.net #hot.
For the last 12 days or so, there were great exchanges on this IRC. And we are
so ovewhelmed of the contribution of both mappers and developpers.

Severin which knows very well the Task Manager procedures should be of great
help to the participants anyway.

Objet : [HOT] ICCM - NBO Mapping Party
Hi folks, We have great internet in Nairobi and have a number of us at the
International Conference of Crisis Mappers. A few of us have coordinated with
local trainers and some visiting ICCM Hotties to have an ICCM NBO Mapping
Party.
Thanks to Melissa Elliot of the ICCM core team for helping us coordinate and
giving us space to do this.
Mandate
* Have mapping party with trainers, storytellers and process helpers.
* Allow it to be a drop in so that people can learn observe Two areas-
Philippines and future projects in Congo/CAR
Outputs:
* We will map, train, share and create videos.
The Plan:
Teams:
1. Training team -Ketty, Kepha, Zack, Sev and Maureen
2. imagery core - Joshua , Benson, Helen
3. Storytelling -Oliver , Heather
4. Community folks- Anahi, others
Helen will work with MapAction's community and Sev to focus our efforts for the
Philippines.
Pierre/Andrew and others: Do you have any input for us?
We will also share the room with friends from other mapping projects and look
for ways to collaborate.
The Schedule:
We have a room booked. There are some talks and coordination pieces. The full
mapping party is from 14:00 - 17:00 EAT. We will be on IRC and really would
like to invite you to join us online.
