Hi all,

I've been in contact (through uMap) with Libraries without Borders [1].
Among all the great things we talked about, they showed me a project they are running named "Ideas Box" [2]. Basically, the idea is to provide a minimum culture access for disaster situations (books, computers, Internet access, films...). They already provide some GPS in the box for mapping, but there is certainly more we can do with us. The first element we are thinking to is an offline map for the area around where the box will be shipped. I've started a pad [3] to start looking at the best technical options to do so. I've a next meeting with their tech guy at the end of next week where I will expose him those options.

So please join the brainstorming if you feel :)

Yohan
