Hi,
I've noticed in the past that we get more mappers involved in the task
at the top of the featured list, than on any other task in that list.
It's the first one that anyone comes to & it's where any mappers new to
HOT are likely to start.
I suggest that I add a section to
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Tasking_Manager suggesting that
anyone new to mapping for HOT starts on the task which is the first in
the featured list, and they chose manually a square that is as close to
the top of the grid as they can & begin their mapping there.
I'm willing to spend as much time as I can validating / coaching with
this as my priority area with the aim of getting them up & running as
'good mappers' as soon as possible. Obviously I can't do this 24/7, and
I would appreciate some help.
Unless anyone comes up with something better / simpler, I will add a
section to http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Tasking_Manager
shortly - it can always be altered later if it doesn't do any good.
