Hi All, In the next month or so HOT will be beginning a project in conjunction with the Jakarta Disaster Management Agency, World Bank and the Australia-Indonesia Facility for Disaster Reduction. The aim of the program is to map all of the sub-neighborhood boundaries in Jakarta and update critical infrastructure. In 2012 there was a big effort to map all of the neighborhood boundaries, which proved extremely valuable during the flood seasons that followed. The more detailed mapping will allow more detailed flood reporting and assist in both flood planning and response.
The two positions are guaranteed until the end of 2014: Mapping Supervisor(1): This individual will be responsible for implementing the project and supervising the staff of 7 working on it. This position requires 10 years of mapping experience as well as supervisory experience. Fluency in Indonesian and working ability in English are both required. Quality Assurance Analyst(2): This individual will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the quality of the data collected during the program. This position requires 2 years of mapping experience and fluency in Indonesian and working ability in English is desired but not required.
