If no kite, balloon or drone available to trace alleys precisely,  you can try 
to take a good point at the two extremities of the alley, in  a more opened 
area, stay longer enough to have a measure of these points.  Then extrapolate, 
trace the alley between the two points.

Eh, I have a solution to better trace the tiny golis, alleys.  You should have 
a gps attached to a balloon going over the buildings !
