Fred,
It would be fantastic that people from Guinea help update the map. I suggest
they concentrate on adding village names, highway road numbers while the remote
mappers take care to add roads and settlements outbounds.
I will be pleased to exchange with the participants of such mapathon if
possible with the internet connection.

I am in Guinéa,
I will try to organise a small mapping party here.
So far since the departure of MSF swiss and Cartong October 2014, they
are not using OSM Database as a data repository as far I have seen. They
are using only the OSM background
Compare to Sierre Leone and Libera. If somebody as more information
about it as I came only yesterday.
I am looking for more information in the following days,
