1) You might be interested in attending this webinar.

2) It is great that we have all of these different organizations involved
in humanitarian mapping in OSM, but I wonder if the different groups should
attempt to coordinate their outreach and message? I have been involved in
OSM and humanitarian mapping for a number of years, and I still find all of
the different organizations/projects/programs confusing. Perhaps this is
already in the process of happening behind the scenes, in which case that
is fantastic.

On Thursday April 21, at 1pm EDT, UCGIS is hosting a (free, no charge)
webinar titled:

Open Mapping for Resilience by Youth in Higher Education.
<http://ucgis.org/ucgis-webinars/open-mapping-resilience-youth-higher-education>

The organizers of MappersU <http://www.gis.ttu.edu/usaid/mappersu/> and
YouthMappers <http://www.youthmappers.org/> will be sharing their stories
and explaining how educators and mappers worldwide are working with USAID
to develop OpenStreetMap data. Presenters include Duane Nellis and Patricia
Solis (Texas Tech Univ), Brent McCusker (West Virginia Univ), Nuala Cowan
(George Washington Univ), and Chad Blevins (USAID).

For anyone who cannot attend “live” during that hour, the session will be
recorded and you can access the session later at your convenience. But we
ask that you still register
<https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/1696558909525954050> ahead of
