Hello Folks, Java Developer Description Sapphire Technologies is seeking two experienced Java Developers to join their team for contract-to-hire assignments with a leading financial services provider located in the Biltmore area of central Phoenix. The group's mission is to provide and maintain high quality, proactive production support to achieve maximum client satisfaction as seen through the client's eyes, and to provide metrics and assurance to support availability and scalability of critical systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. The initial role will be primary production support of PCRA applications for the PAS technology group. The role will eventually merge into production support for all PAS systems. This role will require development work in Java and Oracle database technologies to support Production Bug Fixes as well as perform common functions and assignments associated with all PAS Projects. REQUIREMENTS Must have extensive knowledge and experience in Java, UNIX Shell Script and Oracle Database skills. Additional skills such as Struts, XML, Websphere, Weblogic, Mainframe experience are a plus. Familiar working in Lynx environments. Candidates need to be eligible and interested in a potential long-term role as a full-time employee.
