Complete Description: Develops Internet applications over the entire application lifecycle with little or no supervision. Supervises/leads application developers on a project basis. Integrates existing Institutional applications/data into Internet-based applications. Assumes the role of a "technology resource" for the department and Institution. Assists the department in the development and maintenance of the web site including its infrastructure, security and performance. Leads the technical implementation and rollout of the web site content creation process; including guideline creation, distribution, training and support for content owners. Develops departmental coding guidelines/standards and reusable code segments. Analyzes and tests emerging technologies with an understanding of the applicability to the Institution. Maintains and expands working knowledge of the technical tools available to implement solutions. The application is hosted in a Sun Solaris clustered environment and the backend is Oracle accessed via JDBC. Experience in systems programming with at least three years experience Required 5 years Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
