I haven't been that much of a fan of frameworks in the past but the new Model Glue "framework" looks killer - it leapfrogs Ruby on Rails. Coldspring and Reactor are built into it and the whole package looks like it will speed up my coding amazingly - maybe by a factor of 10. I just wish there were more reference materials available. Model Glue Unity (Magoo?) also looks like a great tool for an individual developer unlike say Fusebox which seemed to me only useful in multi- developer environments.
Check out this presentation: https://admin.adobe.acrobat.com/_a227210/p63078746/ By the way - I'm escaping Wyoming and getting back to the South (Houston) - my family and I are moving there in two weeks. It's 3 degrees outside. Can't wait to get back to the heat! I'm looking at the Katy area, specifically the Champion golf community, and Kingwood. Any recommendations? I don't have a job yet so I'm just looking at areas with lots of trees that have a decent commute time into town. It seems the CF jobs are downtown, the Galleria, the Energy Corridor and around NASA. Friendswood might make sense but I don't want to be that near the coast (I have already lost one house to a hurricane) and I really want trees. It would also make sense to rent at first but I don't want to put my family through that so I'm going to buy immediately.
