I installed CF8 on a machine that had 3 ASP.NET sites (no coldfusion previously) and it hosed up some of the IIS security settings. For some reason, it changed all of my sites to use Integrated Security instead of anonymous access. I had to reinstall IIS and then redo the connectors.
I would definitely recommend installing on a test box first. -Steve _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mark Davis Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2008 4:46 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [houcfug] upgrade to CF8 Has anyone moved to CF8? We are planning for it now. Is it still recommended to do an uninstall of CF7, then install CF8, or can we just run an upgrade? Any horror stories either way?
