My team has been using lighthouse for tons of projects and it has worked quite well. We have the lead assign the tasks so once developers started work they are the only ones updating the task or issue until it went to the next phase.

While we are on lighthouse, I've a similar open source system http://cfdefect.riaforge.com. Thanks Qasim On Mon, Mar 31, 2008 at 11:44 AM, Seth Bienek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I agree. For the uninitiated, Lighthouse keeps a change log for open issues by appending a carriage return followed by a datestamp and comments reflecting the changes to an issue to a carchar field. It keeps things simple (architecturally) but has limits on the amount of history that can be stored, and makes the data less usable for searching and reporting. If someone (like Aaron, wink wink, nudge nudge) were to break the historty out into a seperate table and check in the changes, it would be a big improvent for what is probably the biggest drawback to the product.
