The Houston CFUG board members help steer the direction of the group, and are the "glue" that holds the organization together. They are also sorely under-recognized.
Thanks Board Members! Manager - Seth Bienek - Acts as liaison with Adobe; chairs meetings; supports all other board positions. Co-Manager - Chris Champion - Assists manager; chairs meetings when manager is unavailable. Membership Chair - James Husum - Responsible for driving membership. Website Chair - Aaron Rouse - Manages website development and content changes. Facilities Chair - Mike Demahy - Secures meeting facilities; ensures presenter and attendee needs are met. Sponsorship Chair - Ken Auenson - Cultivates relationships with sponsors and procures financial and logistical support. Open Positions: Treasurer - Keeps meeting notes; manages funds. Speaker Chair - Coordinates and schedules monthly speakers and topics. Coordinates presenter's facility needs with Facilities chair. Communications Chair - Posts timely meeting announcements and reminders, and updating meeting details on website. Sponsors: Adobe (of course!) - Provides lots of schwag to give away, makes arrangements with partners to offer user group members discounts on everything from books to conferences Steve Parks at Adept Developer - Provides top-notch web and database hosting for the HouCFUG website.
