3 Month Contract to Hire (Intent is to convert to full-time position) Job Description • Responsible for the development and subsequent enhancement of web applications. • Develops detailed system design, test plans and programming specifications on assigned project. • Provides technical support on the various modules of the application. • Regularly meets with the IT project lead to review progress and problems related to the job. • Will work with IT project lead to independently develop and implement the system • Will produces technical documentation and designs and tests systems and/or systems changes accurately to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability • Provide post-implementation support and develop future, iterative system releases Competencies • Uses solid business knowledge to develop rapid proactive solutions for significant business issues. Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices, and procedures of the department and business units. • Demonstrates proficiency in systems analysis of business requirements • Business technology knowledge of applications development processes and methodologies Requirements • At least 3 years of RECENT ColdFusion MX and Java Script experience 3+ years in client-side web development • Superior knowledge of SQL server including writing stored procedures, triggers • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field. • HTML, DHTML, MS Access • Good experience with Microsoft Excel • Experience with source code management tools. Eg. Visual Source Safe, CVS • Strong understanding of user-interface design • Experience with all phases of the project lifecycle, including interaction with team members, project planning, development and presentation. • Strong documentation and debugging skills • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills plus the ability to complete work with minimal guidance and supervision. • Excellent organization skills • Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team • Must have a good understanding of the importance of documentation. • Knowledge of Client-server concepts, (3 tier architecture concepts preferred).
