I have heard rumors that CF9 will have some sort of integration with SharePoint but no idea how much truth there is behind that or what level of integration it would be.
We are in the process of switching off of ColdFusion and going to MOSS(SharePoint) and it has not been an enjoyable switch over at all, but something the IT Architects have dictated to be done. Actually, I have a huge dislike of SharePoint because of it, lots of performance issues and the time to get something done for our internal clients is increased by a huge amount. An example is a recent survey application we were asked to enhance that is on WSS 2.0 now and would need to go to MOSS and need a bit of ASP.NET development to meet their needs. The quote from the MOSS experts totaled in at 344 hours of work, I estimate if I had to do it in CF and from the ground up it would be a 40-50 hour job. MOSS is a nice application so long as you stay within its box of features as soon as you want something outside the box it typically takes a lot of knowledge and work to make things work correctly.
