Two (2) Senior ColdFusion/Flash Developers needed In this position you will design and implement major features of the client’s product. Since the entire product is delivered as a hosted service, the features you design and implement will be in the hands of thousands of customers within months, sometimes days, of conception.
You will work with a small team of experienced and talented developers at our Bellville, Texas engineering center. Bellville is: 65 miles from Houston ** 106 miles from Austin 150 miles from San Antonio 225 miles from Dallas **If someone lived in NW side of Houston it would actually be "commutable" The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a team- oriented software development environment using current Agile/ Iterative software engineering methods to deliver high quality products. Responsibilities: · Work with product management, and occasionally end users, to understand and document product requirements · Work with project manager, developers and QA to estimate resources required for new activities and initiatives · Work independently, in pair programming situations, and as a team member to design, develop, test, document and support complex applications Qualifications/Skills: · Significant experience developing Web 2.0 applications utilizing AJAX, JavaScript, JSON, REST, and other applicable technologies · 4+ years developing web-based applications in a ColdFusion MX environment · Design experience with SOA, SaaS, and various application servers, such as Tomcat and Jboss, and web servers, such as Apache and IIS · In-depth systems design and development experience with web technologies and operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux · Experience interfacing with relational databases, especially SQL Server. Must demonstrate ability to design and understand data models and write moderately complex stored procedures. · Very strong knowledge of HTML and working knowledge of Cascading Style sheets · Significant JavaScript programming experience. At a minimum, must have used form validation, rollovers, cross browser scripting, etc. · Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or a similar graphics program · Experience with Flash, Flash Remoting and Actionscript · Knowledge of Industry standard development methods, tools, and process improvement methods (eg. Scrum, RUP, UML, SEI CMMi, ISO, etc). Other notes from client: It is mostly a Windows environment. This is an Access to ColdFusion conversion (straight conversion, not changing the data model). Ideal candidate will need to have good analysis and user interface design skills. They also need to understand Ajax, JavaScript, and all the other things good web UI developers need to know. The ideally will have good SQL skills so they can help with some of the backend development as well. The pay is $68 per hour all inclusive on a 1099 or Corp-to-corp providing the individual has a Tax ID number and GL insurance. On a W2, we could go up to $60 all inclusive.
