I rebooted the production server last night thinking that maybe cf server was having a problem. No luck. Same problem. Has the IP address for webmail02.blah.blah changed recently? When was the last time the production server instance was restarted? If you have any way to get another system on the same subnet as the production server, I would do so and try to use it to troubleshoot the POP connection.
