Yep, updated files come through with status of "M" for modified. c:\projects\workspace2\reporterModule>svn st M enterprise_architect\trunk\User Interface Model.xml
I can't recall the order in which I installed everything... I think I had already installed the SVN command-line client before installing subclipse. It's very helpful to have around.
