I have a SQL Server 2000 on my server (ewhserver668.edgewebhosting.net ) and I recently installed SQL Server 2008 on the same server, instance in ewhserver668\SQL1 . During development, I setup a DSN on my localHost CF server that points to the database server. For connecting to SQL 2000, in my DSN Server name I put the host name, which is ewhserver668.edgewebhosting.net.
What server name do I use to tell it to point to the new SQL 2008 instance? I tried ewhserver668\SQL1.edgewebhosting.net, but is doesn't appear to work. I've never tried two SQL Server versions on the same box, so I'm not sure how to tell CF Admin to point to a specific instance. Thanks for the help.
