Two responses mandates a quorum right?

I'll let Luis know that topic should work.

If you'd like to participate in the hands-on part, please bring a laptop with
ColdFusion 9+ and either SQL Server or MySQL installed. I might try to bring an
extra machine, but no promises there. :-)

I like your idea about ContentBox, I don't currently use ColdBox, but you

Luis Majano informed me that he'll be in town in January, and would like to
speak at our meeting. For those who missed his talk on ColdBox, and have never
heard him speak, he's a ridiculously smart dude when it comes to his framework,
object-oriented programming, and programming in general.

At this meeting, he can talk on another ColdBox topic (WireBox, etc) or he can
do a walk-through of the new ColdBox-based CMS solution, ContentBox. I've been
beta testing ContentBox - it's a Mura-like product, designed similar to
WordPress or Drupal. His idea was to do a workshop where we install ContentBox
on our laptops, and he does a walk-through of the features. Of course, if
bringing your machine isn't possible, you will still gain a lot from seeing the
walkthrough, though I'd recommend participating if you can.

My thoughts are that there aren't that many (of those who attend meetings) who
are using ColdBox so ContentBox is more practical, and perhaps is a way for us
to get our hands in a ColdBox app without having to go through building one. In
many ways, it can open up the door for ColdBox to many who might otherwise not
pursue it. Thoughts?

Tentative date for the meeting is Wednesday January 11.
