hey Gang... My company will most likely be looking for 1 or maybe 2 new contract CF developers in the next few weeks. The position(s) will be 12 month contracts and work is completely telecommute. I don't have official job descriptions at this point, but in general its CF8 and 9, SQL server backend, subversion repositories. The code is all over the place...really old spaghetti code, quite a bit of Model-Glue, some FW1 and some Coldbox. Need to be able to work independently obviously, since you are telecommuting. You will join a team of 4existing full-time developers. We are the entire IT team, so we do a lot of everything. We finally have the funding to essentially start from scratch re-writing our entire main application, so we need new peeps to continue to support existing app and/or work on re-write. Not really sure at this point how the contractors will be allocated.
Very solid, fun, laid-back group. Since this is a one-time big project, my guess is that there is only a small chance contractors could be brought on full-time afterwards, so keep that in mind. If anyone is interested, feel free to send me a resume and I can pass it along. I will post a true job description once I get it.
