Luis Majano, creator of ColdBox, will be in town June 15-21. Our meeting is June 13.
As you may know, his latest open source project is ContentBox, a content management system modeled after solutions such as Drupal and Wordpress; he announced it publicly at our meeting in January. Luis told me he'd like to do either a presentation to our group, or even a half or full day of training on ContentBox. For the training, he'd need a small space and a nominal cost ($99 or so to cover food and costs). I attended 2 days of Luis's training on ColdBox modules and it was $700 I think - well worth it, so $99 is a steal. Luis is very patient and answers all questions. 1. Is there any interest in the training?Any preference as to dates? 2. Location: I'd like to refer Luis to our building sponsor, CTREC Hilton. However, in the event that they aren't a fit space- or cost-wise, can anyone make suggestions as to location if this happens? 3. If the training isn't a good solution, I'd like to hear feedback as to having a second meeting in June.
