OK, I'll get right on it. Let me know if you see anything wrong with my thinking here. I can't get the SocialText- based wiki to work right now, but I'm working on it. I will contact either or both: Hilton-University of Houston 4800 Calhoun Rd Houston, TX Phone: (713) 741-2447 and/or The corporate offices of Hilton USA. and ask them to quote for an expected 10 - 40+ renters for 2 to 3 nights on June /(20-22)/07. Then maybe a few rooms for training classes after the conference on June /(28-29)/07. Also will express interest in the conference rooms and get a quote for those. I guess the Hackathon would take place 5-7 months later and would involve maybe 50-70 people. Probably up to half of those people staying at Hilton - maybe more. I just looked hard for a website that gives facts on the conference and all I found was: http://www.yapc.org/America/ Perhaps we need to get our public site up and running, if it is not already.
