All, Does anyone have experience with setting up a local web server using Perl using something like HTTP::Daemon? My objective is to give users a web tool which can access their data disks areas (i.e. started locally); whereas, the typical web server in their office will not have access to them.
I also ran across http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/perl/webserver/index.html which looks simple enough. Any thoughts on feasibility, security or lessons learned on this would be appreciated. Regards, Jay Vogt
