At last night's meeting, there was quite a bit of discussion about potential topics for upcoming meetings. One topic that has come up a few times and we are trying to nail down a presenter: a comparison between Python and Perl.
Perl has a history of learning/stealing from other languages and there's no reason for us to avoid that history.<grin/> But it suggests there might be other similar presentation topics: * Perl and Ruby * Perl and PHP * Perl5 and Perl6 * Perl and C++ * Perl and Java * Perl and ...? If anyone has any ideas or would like to take one of these topics, feel free to mail the list or contact me directly. Looking forward to your ideas. G.
