for this I am sorry)

Hi Jacob (and everyone),

I want to try the new Linux kernel on my Envy 15 as I am going to be
playing games in Wine. However, I am somewhat new to linux, and I don't
know how to apply your patch. I tried to compile 2.6.34 myself and I
tried `patch -p1 --dry-run <filewithyourpatch>` but I got an error so I
did not actually apply it. (I assume this patch must be applied after
compilation). When I did compile the kernel without errors it wouldn't
boot. I just realized that an updated kernel can just be downloaded from
a PPA (I am running Ubuntu 10.04).
Anyway I just wanted to know how to apply the patch you sent that allows
the proprietary ATI driver to work on the newer kernels.

Thanks,
Brandon
