I use the spongeless refillable cartridges both in the Epson C88 as well as in the 130, they work great, easy to refill and you can see your ink level. As to longevity, they are supposed to last as long and longer than the manufacturers, I believe there is information on www.wilhelm.com, the "guru" of archival inks.
