This guy in China was saying in an email to me about 18 months ago that you can change from dye to pigment using a distilled water flush between inks.

So far I know of a Chinese vendor who stated it was easy to do with the re-fillables, second, others were interested about a year ago, but, I know of no one other than the Chinese guy who says they've actually done it. If you can, it would be a huge extension to the DJ line, and even if it shortened printhead lifa, it might still be worth a try.
