Has anyone done prints on inkjet canvas media with the HP 130? Thankyou Raymond [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Raymond, yes, I have tried a few combinations with my DJ130. My early prints were on Canson XP 340gsm and once I had solved some pick-up problems the canvas profiled reasonably and printed predictably. The printer driver settings for sRGB, however, worked even better so I ended up using that. I coated all these early prints with Lyson Print Guard lacquer spray, but have since experienced severe magenta fading with several of those prints. More recently I changed to Premier Art PrintShield spray, and also to Magiclee (Intellicoat?) Torino 17M canvas. The spray seems to be identical to the Lyson, just with different labelling and th canvas has a brighter white base, but as with the Canson the makers give no guarantees on fade resitance with dye-based inks. That said, those prints coated with the PrintShield do seem to be resisting fading somehat better than my earlier ones did so perhaps the sprays are not as similar as I thought. I have only just built a profile for the Torino 17M and have yet to test it thoroughly, but it seems better than the one I made for the Canson. Ink loadings are still somewhat uncertain but are getting closer as I increase them in the driver. Regards, Gary.
