OFFER RESCINDED - Sanity returned, gritted my teeth and replaced two heads. All is well; aligned, calibrated and a new profile target drying. Thanks to those that sent me encouragement and personal experiences, made me realize I was giving up too easily. Still the best photo printer in the world albeit for one type of paper (HP swellable polymer).
BTW, the on-line HP shopping is a winner; list prices, but overnight no- cost shipping, makes it easy to obtain ink, heads and paper just when you need them.
