I have recently switch to a Z3100 from a 130NR. In most respects I have been happy with the 130. I use aftermarket inks in bulk and with the exception of the LM print head it has worked well for us - both paper and canvas. My initial problem was to get rid of the feed roller marks on the paper. HP was no help but on line I found someone who knew how to remove them. Strangely enough heavier paper was one solution.
Now to move on to the z3100. WOW! I planned to keep my 130 but I'm really not sure what I will use it for now (maybe when I try sheet feed with the 3100 I'll find a reason to keep it!). The Z color is awsome, the printing is flawless and the ink has double the life. The results on canvas are not even comparable to the 130 and my time dinking (and drinking)to get high end results with the 130 has gone away. The way I understand it, the 2100 is the same printer as the 3100 except 8 colors. Knowing what I know now if budget were my concern the time, paper and frustration savings are more than worth the cost difference. PS: I bought the 130 long before the z printers were available). ------------------------------------ Website: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPDesignJet_Printers Post message: [email protected] Subscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
