We have had this HP DesignJet 5000 for about 8 years and use PosterShop 5 to run it. For the last several months when ever we try to print a poster it will run 1/4, 1/2 or maybe even 3/4 of the poster and just stop,then runs out a long line of blank paper. Most of the posters were created in Illustrator CS3 and the photo files are huge. We tried saving them down to 150 dpi and lower but PosterShop still won't open it or when it does it prints the colors really dark - as in the ink almost runs down the poster it's so thick. Does anyone know what the highest resolution you can use for the machine is or if there is a limit since the PosterShop program will only go to 600 x 1200 dpi?
