I am attempting to install hplip under Fedora Core 6 and consistently get
dependency failure messages.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] hplip-1.6.10]#
If I attempt to run the ./configure script, I get the following error message.
checking for install_initd... /usr/lib/lsb/install_initd
checking for pthread_create in -lpthread... yes
checking for CRYPTO_free in -lcrypto... no
checking for snmp_timeout in -lnetsnmp... no
checking for usb_init in -lusb... no
configure: error: cannot find libusb support
[EMAIL PROTECTED] hplip-1.6.10]#
However, I do have libusb and gcc installed.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] hplip-1.6.10]# rpm -qa |grep libusb
libusb-0.1.12-5.1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] hplip-1.6.10]# rpm -qa |grep gcc
gcc-4.1.1-30
libgcc-4.1.1-30
[EMAIL PROTECTED] hplip-1.6.10]#
Am I missing something or is hplip not yet supported under Fedora Core 6?
Thanks,
Neil
