Timo,
We are currently developing a plan for localization which should commence
sometime middle/later this year.
Thanks for your time and interest.

Hello!
Is there any way currently to start translating hplip GUI programs to
non-English languages? If not, have you planned adding l10n support
(via gettext / PO files) to it?
The first Python program with l10n support that comes to my mind is
Serpentine CD-Audio disc writer:

(svn://svn.berlios.de/serpentine/trunk)
When using a well localized Linux distribution, hplip tools are starting
to be the only non-localized GUI program in a typical default
installation, so I'm interested whether translations may be done at
some point in the future (for example, later this year).
