With the Windows HP Director software, I can choose to create a cover page, and fax documents from the flatbed or ADF on my printer (LaserJet 2840). This is very convenient.
I miss this feature in the hplip software. Currently, I use gscan2pdf to create a pdf document from the flatbed or ADF and then attach this in hp-sendfax. It would be really handy if you could add this to the hplip fax functionality.
