Hi, I really appreciate how fast you are responding.
I applied the patch according to your notes, deleted all previously created printers and used hp-setup <ip-address> to recreate the devices. Unfortunately while printing continues to be great, the fax error persists, both on suse 10 and on my kubuntu 5.10 box. This is what I get from /var/log/messages, regardless whether faxing from OOorg or rather directly via hp-sendfax. If you see possibilities to further investigate this issue, just let me know and I'll happily do whatever is required. thank you very much for your great help regards Eberhard On Mon, 10 Apr 2006 09:59:08 -0700 Cory Meisch <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > This patch fixes an issue with capitalization in some device > model names. > > It's available here: > http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=149981 > > > How to apply the patch: > cd hplip-0.9.10 > patch -p1 < hplip-0.9.10-1.patch > ./configure --prefix=/usr > make clean > make > make install > > > Please let us know if this fixes your issue. > > Cory > > -- > ----------------------------------- > HP Linux Imaging and Printing group > http://hpinkjet.sf.net > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking > scripting language that extends applications into web and > mobile media.
